Bean grinder grinding - new discovery

1; Should the grinder be adjusted after it is turned on, or before it is turned off?
2; Why turn it off, or turn it on?
3; How can it be done better?

First of all, we need to understand that in the coffee industry, there are different types of grinders.
Generally, there are three types;
1; A commercial coffee grinder (main grind for Italian coffee)

2; A single-item bean grinder (main grinder for specialty coffee)

3; A comprehensive grinder (two-way can be single or intentional) (grinding degree can meet the grinding requirements)

The main source of this problem today is that the grinder jammed while grinding the coffee beans!!!

There are several common cases of the card being stuck;
1; There is too much coffee powder residue (large particles)

2; The coffee teeth have not been cleaned for too long (causing dirt and aging)

3; The grinding scale is set too tight (too fine) when the coffee is turned off, causing the gear to lock up.

Once you know the basic conditions, then do you turn it off or turn it on?

This point, the editor has discussed with several experienced drivers, and it is generally recommended to adjust it when turning on the machine.

(Because it can remove coffee grounds)
However, I have a different opinion, as follows;

First of all, we need to separate the single item and the commercial grinder;

1; First, let's talk about commercial coffee grinders;

The editor himself has encountered the phenomenon of being stuck, which is very stuck. The switch cannot work at all because the coffee residue is stuck in the sawtooth. (Before grinding, the editor adjusted the grinding degree to the fine scale) This is the main cause of being stuck.

The best way to solve this problem is to turn off the power, set the coffee machine to the coarsest grind, and grind it again when you turn it on (you can remove the powder). This way, it should work normally.

If this doesn't work, it's basically time to disassemble and grind the gears. Of course, the best way is to clean the grinder every day when you take it off (this is the best way to take care of the grinder).

In fact, single-bean grinders are rarely used in daily operations, and cleaning single-bean grinders is also inconvenient, after all, you can't disassemble it every day!

The editor's suggestion is that in order to avoid the coffee residue from producing too much and blocking the gear, it is best to turn off the machine and turn it on again after grinding the coffee beans each time (this will help the gear to remove the remaining coffee powder).

Another way is to adjust the grind setting of the coffee every day, just like a commercial grinder. When we turn it off, we set the grind setting to the maximum, and then turn it on, which can quickly and effectively clear the coffee grounds. (This method works well.)

Additionally, regularly clean the single-bean grinder (this can most effectively avoid jamming and damage to the gears).
Add a small cleaning method, buy a dust-blowing ball, you can clean it every time you grind coffee beans, it's very useful!
If you encounter coffee beans stuck in the spring of the gear, you can use a thermometer or a sharp object to pick up the coffee beans!
